The Grenada Post (GPC) is the official postal service for Grenada and its six smaller islands in the southern Caribbean. Established in the 19th century, its postal history includes the use of Great Britain stamps until 1861, when Grenada issued its first stamps featuring Queen Victoria. The seal of the colony, "La Concepción," and its motto "CLARIOR E TENEBRIS" appeared on stamps from 1906 onward. Grenada gained independence on February 7, 1974, commemorated with overprinted stamps. Today, the Grenada Post provides services across Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.
