Norfolk Island Post was the postal service for Norfolk Island, which began in 1947. It handled mail and stamp sales but didn't provide local mail delivery. Instead, residents had to rent post office boxes. The service was mainly known for selling stamps to collectors worldwide.
In 2016, Norfolk Island's postal service ended when the island became part of Australia. Now, Australian stamps are used, and Australia Post handles all mail.
